Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: October 25, 2026
ToolScope is reader-supported. This page explains exactly what that means.
The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy or subscribe, we may earn a commission from the provider. You never pay more because of it — in some cases you pay less, when we can negotiate reader discounts.
How affiliate links are marked
- Affiliate links carry
rel="sponsored nofollow"and an external-link indicator. - Any article containing affiliate links shows a disclosure notice near the links themselves — not just in the footer.
- Links to a provider's official website that are not affiliate links are plain links.
What affiliate money never does
- It does not determine which products we review, or which one wins a comparison.
- It does not give vendors early access to, or any influence over, our reviews — see the editorial policy.
- It does not change our testing methodology or the evidence we publish.
Current status
As of the date above, no affiliate programs are active on ToolScope. The site's link infrastructure is built and ready — when a program is joined, it will appear in this disclosure with its start date, per product.
Display advertising
We plan to run limited display advertising:
- Ads will always be labeled and visually distinct from editorial content.
- We do not run ads that mimic download buttons, navigation, or article controls.
- Advertising partners have no influence on editorial decisions.
